http://www.neillcorlett.com/he/ Highly Experimental, in_psf plugin. Find PSFs at zophar.net, because of their questionable nature (file rips from Playstation discs) I won't link there or the PSF archive. |

SpiderBoy: Cool, I'm sure it'll be useful for some.
Translation: Porreta, de certeza que vai ser útil para alguns. ^_^ Urbanism: You did good in not posting a direct link to PSFs, good job. Thanks for the link to the plugin. ^_^ -------------------- |

Apparently Neill made a QSound plugin for WinAMP (Highly Quixotic, QSF format). There's some rips on his site, once again though, no hotlink. Peek around Neill's site.
Edit: Tried HQ as a WinAMP plugin. Works great. Haven't yet tried it with WinMugen, but it'd be nice to get working. Perfect CPS-1/CPS-2 to go along with CPS-1/CPS-2 stages. ^_^ This post has been edited by Urbanism on Jul 3 2004, 03:50 AM |

I tried out QSF plugin with disappointing results. The playback was VERY jumpy, but I could still barely recognize the songs I was playing (similar to the problem people have had with MP3s on the title screen, but on stages too). This might just be (hopefully) my system's fault. I have not tried the fix posted before.
EDIT: Tried PSF and had the same problem. Then I went ahead and tried LadyKiki's proposed fix (BING!). Afterwards, playback seemed fine. Will edit again if I have any more info. This post has been edited by Urbanism on Jul 4 2004, 03:31 AM |

These stutters occur because WinMUGEN hogs loads of CPU cycles.
Apparently so do these audio plugins, so unless you do as LadyKiki suggested, it stutters since WinMUGEN has CPU priority over the plugins themselves. -------------------- |

I don't know but Adx, Psf......plugins don't work to me. I placed them all in plugins directory but Mugen said "error music not supported". Mp3 are work well. Do I have to install winamp first?

No, you don't need Winamp installed.
About ADX, if you copy them straight from a DC CD they won't work. As weird as it may sound, you need to rename them and COMPLETLY from scratch retype the whole name or call them something else (including the .adx extension) otherwise WinMUGEN will give that error with ADX files. Also, make sure you added the ADX argument when saying WinMUGEN can load the in_adx.dll plugin in the mugen.cfg, otherwise it won't understand what to do with the ADX format. -------------------- |

The in_bleep.dll plugin (for NES NSF sound files) does not work. As I noticed, these NSFs are like a "multitrack" file. In Winamp, when you press Stop and play again, the file advances to the next song, so this may explain why It doesn't work.
Any ideas? (yes, I know there's a lot of music that sound better than that... but maybe someone like Mature4Ever will be glad to use it ) -------------------- renzo.studiosmh.com
