(Whoever fixed Thanos (Stefano Gaddi?) has apparently already figured this out, but I don't recall seeing this discussed or explained before.)
If anyone's been having trouble with Mugen crashing with "Shutting down Allegro/Exiting due to signal SIGSEGV" error messages upon start of the next match after using your character, this might help. It appears that using expressions in a HitDef snap parameter can cause the crash. However, I haven't investigated very thoroughly, so I don't know exactly which kinds of expressions cause the crash. Could someone who's more familiar with character coding do some further testing? It appears that everything (including vars, arithmetic, p2dist/p2bodydist, and floor/ceiling functions) other than a constant integer and parentheses results in a crash, but it would be nice to know if there are any exceptions. |
